- CHA Working Approach
- CHA is committed to encourage active participation of communities in development of their social and economic lives through their involvement in decision-making, planning and implementation of programmes.
- This encouragement is reflected in the setting up of Advisory Committees, members of whom include representatives of different sections of the society (i.e. the beneficiaries), and the policy of employing as many local people as possible.
- The communities share in the implementation of programs by being given cash in kind, as well as in identification of projects and activities.
- On a regional basis, CHA promotes coordination between the various organizations and institutions involved in the rehabilitation process. For example, in Herat and Farah the activities in the health sector are being carried out in collaboration with the local health authorities.
