A non-profit, non-sectarian and non-political humanitarian organization.


 

The health sector implements a diversity of programs to provide:


 

  • Basic health services as a package including maternity care, child care, family planning, health education, immunization, control of communicable diseases, providing essential drugs and dealing with health emergencies. Health services are delivered through different levels of health facilities including Health Posts (Community Health Workers) at the village level, Basic Health Centers at the sub-district level, Comprehensive Health Centers at district level and District Hospitals at district cluster and provincial levels.
  • Training for health staff and community health workers and the preparation of health reference materials, health education materials and health guidelines, protocols and flow charts, etc for improving the quality and standardization of health services at service delivery points.
