EDUCATION SECTOR
 





 

A non-profit, non-sectarian and non-political humanitarian organization.


 

The Education Sector provides a diverse range of programs to:


 

  • build civil society
  • increase the economic independence of women
  • empower females
  • improve the livelihood of conflict and drought effected households
  • assist in rural recovery
  • increase access to basic education

Education programs include the Afghanistan Primary Education Program (APEP) with fifty thousand overage students in five provinces; rural rehabilitation programs building the capacity of Shuras (Community Development Organizations) in 1,237 villages in target communities in 7 Provinces; the National Solidarity Program (NSP) establishing and strengthening Shuras in four districts of Balkh province; and the Women’s Galaxy Training Center.
