The Agriculture Sector runs projects, which serve the poorest and most marginalized rural families and returnees and target women and children.
The Sector works to:
- increase cereal crop yields through extension, multiplication and storage of improved seeds
- develop horticulture and environmental protection through soil conservation and increased fruit production
- improve the family diet through increasing access to fresh vegetables, increasing dairy and poultry production and providing improved goats and sheep
- improve livestock and poultry productivity
- improve livelihoods through increased staple, fruit, vegetable and livestock production and improved farming systems.
